PF "Steel Dream"
The development of the PF Steel Dream pedal board was closely guided by Paul Franklin. Paul was first introduced to the original PB-1 pedal board over a year ago and has been using it exclusively ever since. During this time I asked Paul, if I created a unit dedicated for Pedal Steel players, what would be the essential effects steel players would want? After going through different options, Paul narrowed it down to these 3: Nutradrive, Echo zen, Adverb.

This is the PF Steel Dream!

The basis of this pedal board is 3 basic outstanding individual effect brought into one unit for your convenience. Don't let the number 3 fool you, it's more than just 3 effects. 2 mono outputs for bigger sound, built in A/B box and more are the few extras on this easy to use and carry around. Read below what's more....
The effect chain
The Nutradrive
The Echo - Zen
The Steel Reverb
The Effect Loop

You can add your own pedals in the chain in different configurations using the effect loop feature. This is what makes this board special... You can still use your gain stage on your amp in the loop if you wish, or maybe switch it so your favourite chorus pedal goes in... The send and return also act like an extra input and output... The possibilities are endless...
Dry line out (AB Box)
Parallel Power Jacks and fuse protection

The dedicated Parallel power In/Out, allows the unit to power your extenal pedals. Your unit is protected with a fuse if the wrong power supply was used. There is an extra fuse available on the unit for your convenience. The unit runs on 9VDC center pin negative.

What better to have a pedal that you can set it up to be responsive to your playing. You play light so it sounds clean, but then, you hit the strings hard it gives you the dirt. It reacts to your playing just like a tube amp does... And you know what happens when you push a tube amp hard... This pedal will give you all the overdrive you need. Stack up the Overdrive and the Distortion and the clarity remains, you get full power with a nice full and rich sound... Imagine the sustain...

How many times have you been to a gig or jam session and the amp provided has no reverb. Frustrating, isn't it. For those of us that must have reverb it's actually a disaster. That's why in my pedalboard I wanted to have the best sounding spring reverb I could. You'll never go wanting again, actually, your next amp purchase probably won't even have reverb in it after playing through this... The Boost switch will engage what I call a Shimmer type effect. A worm and very subtle Chorus like effect.

The Dry line out (AB box) will give you the option to send your dry signal to wherever you desire. With just one click bypassing the entire board. It has a dedicated line out jack and a dedicated stompswitch. That way you don't have to turn off the other effects.

Your Analog style delay. I'm not much of a digital delay kind of guy, but I do own a TC 2290 (The Holy Grail)... Now, try to bring that to a pedal and make it analog. Well, I believe that this one is it. I sometimes forget I'm not actually playing though my 2290 at times it's that good... Hearing is believing.
